La compagnia dello Speaker's Corner (Torino) presenta "Canapa",conferenza tragica scritta, diretta e interpretata da Paola Omodeo Zorini e Giovanni Foresti.

Due conferenzieri-musicisti molto seri affrontano la questione del rapporto fra droghe legali e illegali, in particolare alcol e canapa. Con un tono a volte dissacrante, attraverso la musica e vari linguaggi teatrali, cercano di indurre lo spettatore alla riflessione, anche se non sempre il discorso fila senza intoppi. RICORDIAMO CHE:

Con la legge Fini del precedente Governo la legislazione in materia di sostanze psicotrope è tornata indietro di mezzo secolo al clima repressivo di “caccia alle streghe” degli anni 50, in cui veniva punito dal punto di vista penale, con detenzione dai 3 fino ai 8 anni, non solo il traffico ma anche la detenzione e assunzione personale di droghe. La legge del 1975 recepiva parzialmente i cambiamenti indotti nel costume dai movimenti degli anni ’60-’70, introducendo il concetto di “modica quantità”, depenalizzando il semplice consumo in sanzione amministrativa, distinguendo tra repressione e riabilitazione o “riduzione del danno”, differenziando sia le categorie di consumatore e spacciatore che le diverse sostanze, per quantità e qualità. La legislazione odierna non solo ha fatto tabula rasa di ogni forma di differenziazione tra droghe leggere  e pesanti e della modica quantità, esponendo così anche il semplice consumatore a pene detentive dai 2 ai 20 anni (con possibili inasprimenti in caso di recidiva!), ma ha anche aperto a forme di privatizzazione della carcerazione in puro stile statunitense, consentendo alle comunità terapeutiche private, in luogo delle strutture pubbliche (i SERT), di trasformare in business gli istituti di detenzione e riabilitazione, fino all’utilizzo del lavoro coatto (e non retribuito) in comunità come terapia riabilitativa.Oggi, smentendo i programmi elettorali dell’Unione, la semplice proposta del Ministro della salute Livia Turco, tesa ad innalzare da 500 a 1000 milligrammi il quantitativo massimo di cannabis in principio attivo che può essere detenuto per uso personale (che consentirebbe ai consumatori di cannabis di essere oggetto di sanzioni amministrative e non più penali, senza sconvolgere però l’impianto generale della legge Fini), ha trovato l’opposizione del più bigotto conformismo della Margherita e di larga parte dei DS. Il 30 novembre scorso in commissione sanità del Senato, con 30 voti favorevoli, 3 contrari e 1 astenuto un ordine del giorno ha infatti censurato il decreto Turco imponendo al governo un nuovo riesame.
